OUR THEME

The theme of Milan Design Week 2022 at CERTOSA INITIATIVE is the fusion of nature and new materials. During the difficult days of the COVID pandemic, many of us sought haven in Nature, which is one of the reasons why we chose this theme for our exhibition.

With "Stone light” , we imagined products as ephemeral states, existing between a raw natural material and its final consumption.

“Craft prism” is a metaphor inviting the viewers to see Nature from different angles through the lens and to rethink the composition of space.

“Flex” re-questions the possibility of glass by transforming the material into a soft and robust material.

“A drop of light” has blurred the boundary between light and water, where light springs forth as if light was poured into the lamp. By using metal leaves often used in traditional metal crafts, it is reinventing our interaction with water.

“Tiny cloud” creates a cute cloud in your living room, another element of Nature that we see every day. This poetic device doubles as a humidifier.

”shindofuji“Is a word that means that the body and the land cannot be separated that is, the human body and the land where humans live are one and have an inseparable relationship.

“Shade of a tree” finds a connection between the properties of silk and those of leaves, and uses silk to create a pleasant phenomenon like the shade of a tree.
