STONE LIGHT, 2022

What if a product is a temporary form between raw material production and consumption? In this artwork, electronic circuits are directly printed on stones by using inkjet printer technologies which are added on this circuit to give birth to a new form of lighting.

The lighting uses the characteristics of the material as much as possible. When no longer in use, the LEDs can be removed, and the original material is back in its raw form. Picking up stones from the riverbank would change the environment and may not be very ecological. However, stones that are destined to become building materials can be used as products before they become part of a building.
